Remember sitting in a classroom, looking at a whiteboard covered in complex mathematical proofs and theoretical definitions, wondering: “When am I actually going to build something?”

That was pretty much my daily reality pursuing a BSc.CSIT at Godawari College in Itahari, Sunsari, affiliated with Tribhuvan University. The curriculum leaned heavily into the theoretical foundations of computer science. While it can feel a bit dry when you just want to start hacking away at code, those heavy theory classes laid down a blueprint I didn't appreciate until much later.

Of course, a massive shoutout is due to the few incredible tutors who completely flipped the script for me. They didn't just teach us what was in the syllabus; they showed us the magic behind the curtain—how algorithms actually tick under the hood and how a few lines of code translate into logical execution. That guidance changed everything.

Beyond the Textbooks: Gaming and Production

Naturally, college life isn't all about studying theory. Balancing my geeky side with a passion for gaming and production work, I ended up organizing a PUBG Mobile championship during my studies. Handling event production, managing chaos, and coordinating teams taught me real-world management skills that no compiler could ever teach you.

The Big Milestone: Blockchain Voting

Fast forward to the 7th semester—the ultimate test of our undergraduate lives: the final year project. Teaming up with my crew, we decided to tackle something ambitious: a Blockchain Voting System aimed at secure online voting. Putting together a decentralized, secure architecture pushed our team to the absolute limit. Pulling off that defense presentation and seeing our system work seamlessly was easily one of the proudest moments of my degree.

Stepping Into the Industry

The 8th semester brought the real awakening: my frontend developer internship, which was part of the course module.

Nothing prepares you for the tech industry quite like your first taste of actual production pressure. Suddenly, it wasn't about getting a passing grade from an examiner; it was about meeting deadlines, dealing with tight pressure to complete projects, and figuring out what a healthy (and sometimes stressful) professional work environment actually looks like.

That internship opened the floodgates. After finishing my degree, I kept building momentum—transitioning into working as a frontend developer, taking on freelancing gigs, and pouring my heart into building TheThinkLad, an open blog platform where everyday people can share their own stories and thoughts (kinda like what I'm doing right now!).

What’s Next?

Looking back, the BSc.CSIT rollercoaster at Godawari College taught me how to adapt, how to learn, and how to survive the ever-changing landscape of tech.

Right now, I'm standing at a bit of a crossroads. The next chapter on my radar is pursuing a Master’s degree, and I’m currently deep in research, exploring which country and university will best suit my next move.
